Rabies Vaccines

Rabies Vaccines | Animal Hospital of Sandy Springs

You may have heard about the Hart County grandmother who was recently attacked by a bobcat in her driveway. While she managed to kill the cat, the animal tested positive for rabies, requiring the woman to undergo a painful series of rabies shots.

While normally we don’t think about rabies much, this story illustrates that the disease is still very much a threat. With a staggering 99.95% mortality rate, it is considered the deadliest disease in the world, making it extremely important that your pet’s rabies vaccinations stay current not only for their health, but for your human family’s safety as well.
