World Veterinary Day is April 27, and one way we would like to celebrate is by recognizing our incredible veterinarians:
Dr. Ella Ahearn inherited her love of medicine from her parents and developed her love of animals from a childhood surrounded by pets of every sort. She purchased half of the Animal Hospital of Sandy Springs in January of 2002, and has been happily practicing here ever since. She has particular medical interests in wellness care, preventative medicine, dentistry work and geriatric care.
Dr. Lisa Wright grew up in Sandy Springs and actually discovered the magic of the human-pet bond right here at the Animal Hospital of Sandy Springs when she was just eight years old! She started working here at the clinic right after graduating veterinary school in 2008, then became Co-Owner in June of 2015, allowing her to help animals and have an impact on the families that love them every single day.
Dr. Mireya Smith does not remember a time when she didn’t want to be a veterinarian, and took an active role in caring for her family’s golden retriever from a young age. She has just last year graduated from UGA with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine, and we’ve loved having her join the team!
